About Us
Where it all began...
Simplified Life Organizing is the creation of Nicole Ray and Lisa Wilson. The pair met 20+ years ago working at J. Alexander's restaurant in Hoover, AL. Fast forward to October 2020, when helping a mutual friend get her home in order, the pair discussed the desire to do organizing as a full time business. By the end of November, Simplified Life Organizing had been created and the duo had completed multiple jobs in Alabama and one job in the D.C. area.
Nicole Ray
Nicole Ray is a Birmingham transplant, originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She earned her accounting degree from the University of Alabama and her MBA from UAB. Nicole has spent the last 20+ years in the finance industry, most of which in banking. However her true love is all things organizing. She was born with OCD and loves to use this to help others get their homes and lives in order. Nicole is mom to a four year old daughter, Arden, who was also "blessed" with OCD tendencies and is wife to Jeff, who was not.
Lisa Wilson
Lisa Wilson lives in the Hoover area. Lisa has a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing and a master's degree in Information Engineering and Management. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Alabama Birmingham, however her heart belongs to Auburn. Lisa has also spent the last 15+ years in the finance industry, most of which in banking. However she lives for the chance to purge homes of unnecessary things and clutter. Lisa shares her home with Charlie Pants, aka Tripod, her three-legged Golden Retriever and is heavily involved with Adopt-A-Golden Birmingham.
